Our checks
If your store's logs show requests from nuvols.app, an agency has added your store to nuvols.app to look after it. This page says what those requests are.
The uptime check
User agent: nuvols.app-uptime/1.0 (+https://nuvols.app/bot).
Every 5 minutes, one GET request for the store's address from each of two Cloudflare locations in Europe, following any redirects the store answers with. We don't read the page, never log in and never send a form.
The version check
Same user agent. Once soon after the store is added, then once a day: at most three GET requests for public files, such as the home page, js/tools.js and INSTALL.txt, reading at most the first 512 KB of each. They tell us which PrestaShop and PHP versions the store probably runs.
The connector
User agent: nuvols.app-connector/1.0 (+https://nuvols.app/bot).
Signed requests to the nuvols.app connector module, only on stores where it's installed and paired with a workspace.
If your firewall blocks them
Nothing breaks. The agency sees "Blocked by firewall" for the store, never an outage, and no down alert is sent.
We don't recommend allowing our checks by their user agent: anyone can send that text, so a rule that allows it lets any bot past your firewall. A way through that can be verified is planned.
